Hotel Wing International Premium Kanazawa Ekimae designed by architect Ryuzo Shirae who designed the Tsuzumi Gate of Kanazawa Station selected as one of “the world’s most beautiful train stations”, and will be the first hotel he designed.

The guest room floors (2nd to 12th floors) are designed with traditional colors and patterns so that guests can stay at the hotel while enjoying Kanazawa’s traditional culture and brilliant colors. Furthermore, the front lobby floor is the space designed by Shirae in collaboration with sculptor Yoshimasa Tsuchiya who is much talked about nowadays, and the entire hotel is designed in such a way as to help guests experience Kanazawa’s traditional culture and future.

Guests will be greeted with heartfelt “Omotenashi” (Japanese-style hospitality) and the smile of the landlady based on the concept of “the hotel where you can see that smile after going through the Tsuzumi Gate.”

The hotel also pays close attention to “food,” which is one of the joys of travel. It serves special breakfast called “Hokurikuzukushi no Kamameshi Gozen,” which consists of “kamameshi” (rice in a pot) as a main dish containing ingredients that make one feel Kanazawa’s seasons such as blackthroat seaperch, crabs and bamboo shoots cooked with “Hyakumangoku” (Ishikawa Prefecture’s original rice variety) in an iron pot, accompanied by a simmered dish or “obanzai” using “Kaga” vegetables or “jiwamon” (locally produced ingredients), as well as seasonal pickled vegetables and soup.
* The content of the breakfast may change depending on the procurement situation.

Attractive features of Kanazawa
Kanazawa has been gaining publicity as a sightseeing destination as access from Tokyo improved following the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line. Kanazawa has both tradition, represented by old townscapes, Kenrokuen (Six Attributes Garden) which is one of the “Three Great Gardens of Japan,” Kanazawa Castle and so on, and modernity represented by the beautiful station building and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. In Kanazawa, one can also enjoy experiencing Japanese culture, shopping, eating gourmet food and drinking sake (Japanese rice wine).
