Japan's cosmetics market in 2017 has reached the highest amount in the past 10 years. According to the production statistics recently announced by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, cosmetics sales figures in January to December 2017 amounted to 1,629.21 billion yen (USD $14,410,362,450) It's 7% increase from the previous year. Cosmetics import results of January to December 2017 announced by the Japan Imported Cosmetic Association also reached 2461.1 billion yen (USD $2,176,754,500), which showed that the cosmetics market in 2017 performed well in both domestic and imported products.
