Indium Plating – Good sealability, galling resistance and abrasion resistance

Our Indium Plating is a very soft metal with a melting point of 156 ℃, and It’s used in a number of other applications particularly in the electronics area.

Indium Plating’s Characteristics

  • Soft material
  • Low melting point as 156 ℃
  • Good water-resistant property
  • Good alkali-resistant property
  • Good organic acid resistant in lubrication oil

The hardness of indium plating deposition is 1.2 mohs. Due to its softness (1.2 mohs), indium is used as a seal material.

Indium Plating Properties

  • Sealing
  • Galling Resistance
  • Abrasion and Wear-Resistant

Industry

  • Aerospace

Example of use

  • Company W:
Company W, which produced mechanism elements, was looking for a subcontractor to plate nickel, silver, gold and indium. They brought some products which needed to be plated urgently to Mitsuya. We constructed a temporary plating line quickly and corresponded to them speedy. Even though their products were stringent in quality demand as well as delivery time, our technical division supported the production and we could provide the products as satisfying with Company W.
