Food EXPO Kyushu is the largest food event in Kyushu, where you can taste six regional foods in Fukuoka City, including Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Saga, Oita, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Okinawa Prefectures.
Food EXPO Kyushu consists of two events, one is a BtoC business “Kyushu’s Tasty Foods Festival” that provides and sells local meals for general visitors, and the other is a BtoB business “Domestic and International Food Business Matching” that supports business matching between local companies and other regions or foreign country vendors. A number of top buyers not only from other areas in Japan including Kansai and Kanto, but also from overseas are invited to the exhibition to have a food business talk in Fukuoka, the gateway to Asia.
Those two events are held at different venue in Fukuoka City. The Kyushu’s Tasty Foods Festival(for general visitors) exhibit at Tenjin Central Park in Fukuoka City. The Domestic and International Food Business Matching(for vendors) is held at Fukuoka International Center in Fukuoka City.
The Food EXPO Kyushu Committee is composed of six organizations; Fukuoka Prefecture, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Societies of Commerce and Industry, JETRO Fukuoka, Fukuoka Directive Council, and Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The aim of the Food EXPO Kyushu is to gain more international and domestic recognitions of local produce and processed foods in Kyushu, which have high added-value and quality. It also aims to promote the economy of the Kyushu area and expand the market in other regine.
