KYOTO, JapanKyocera Corporation (herein “Kyocera”) and Tokyo Century Corporation (herein “Tokyo Century”) nnounced that Kyocera TCL Solar LLC (herein “Kyocera TCL Solar”) has completed construction of a 28 megawatt (MW) utility-scale solar power plant in the town of Taiwa, Kurokawa District, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. The company has developed this 28MW solar power plant in collaboration with Tokyo-based Tsuboi Corporation and started operations in late June 2018.

KYOTO, JapanKyocera Corporation (herein “Kyocera”) and Tokyo Century Corporation (herein “Tokyo Century”) announced today that Kyocera TCL Solar LLC (herein “Kyocera TCL Solar”) has started operation of Japan’s largest*1 13.7 megawatt (MW) floating solar plant this month. Located on the Yamakura Dam reservoir in Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture, the Company held a completion ceremony on March 20 with Kensaku Morita, the Governor of Chiba Prefecture. Kyocera TCL Solar is a joint venture of Kyocera and Tokyo Century established in 2012 to promote large-scale solar projects.

KYOTO, JapanKYOCERA Corporation (herein “Kyocera”) and Tokyo Century Corporation (herein “Tokyo Century”) announced that Kyocera TCL Solar LLC (herein “Kyocera TCL Solar”) has completed construction of a 29.2 megawatt (MW) utility-scale solar power plant in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, Japan. The solar modules were installed on 1.2km2 of land originally designated for a golf course and other purposes but subsequently abandoned. A ceremony was held on April 27 to commemorate completion of Kyocera TCL Solar’s largest solar power plant.

TOKYO, Sept. 12, 2017 — Solar Frontier Americas Development, a leading U.S. solar developer and subsidiary of the world’s largest CIS solar energy solutions provider, Solar Frontier, announced today it has sold two fully developed solar project sites to Capital Dynamics. Located in Fresno County, just South of San Joaquin, California, the sites combined have a planned capacity of 28 megawatts DC. Capital Dynamics, a Swiss-based asset management company investing in private equity and clean energy infrastructure, plans to execute construction on the projects. The projects are packaged with permits and power purchase agreements (PPA) with Pacific Gas & Electric.

JGC Corporation has completed a mega-solar power plant in Kamogawa, Chiba, which began commercial power generation on January 6th of this year. Today (March 19th), a ceremony was held at the site to celebrate the completion and pray for safe operation of the plant. Yokohama, September 26, 2014 — Babcock-Hitachi K.K. (BHK), a group company of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. (MHPS), has been contracted by Ministry of the Environment to develop the technology for a concentrating solar power (CSP) system as one of its 2014 projects to develop and verify technologies for enhancing measures to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The contract calls for BHK to develop a low-cost, highly operational solar power generation system. MHPS will also participate, and after the two companies integrate effective October 1, MHPS will carry on the contracted work in full.
